Southern shores exhibition: life in the spaces where the city meets the sea

Brendon Bosworth and Barry Christianson photograph everyday life on the edges of Cape Town: the spaces where the city meets the sea. Bosworth documents the strip of coastline that runs from Muizenberg to Kalk Bay. Christianson photographs Sea Point.

Both photographers are interested in how people engage with the public spaces in these coastal areas. They have teamed up for the exhibition Southern Shores, which opens at the Hive in Muizenberg on May 26, 2018. Their work offers a look at the flow of life that happens on the beaches, in the pools, and on the walkways of the city’s shores.
